Merry Wishes Christmas Tins

December 16th, 2007 by Tracy

I finally have all my Merry Wishes projects finished! Woohoo! I had so much fun making everything, and I can’t wait to see what everyone at work thinks of their goodies!

For my goodie bags, I stamped address labels and wrapped them around Hershey’s Nuggets. I put two in a trading card sleeve and topped it all off with a stamped panel. I used Fruitcake Kaleidacolor ink and Merry Wishes cardstock. I made a bunch of these to give to all the docs, nurses, and lab ladies.

I wanted to make something a little special for my doctor at work. (I am her personal receptionist and scheduler.) I painted a terra cotta pot white, then sponged L’Amor Palette ink around the rim. I used the same ink to stamp the peppermint candy images around the pot. I filled a cello bag with peppermint candies, added a red bow, and used Red  Scrapper’s Floss to attach the Merry Wishes tag.

I found these Christmas “photo” tins on clearance at WalMart a couple of years ago. I’ve always wanted to do something fun with them, and this year it finally hit me! I Used Merry Wishes cardstock in the “photo” panel. I ran more Merry Wishes cardstock through my Xyron and adhered the cardstock to chipboard. I die cut circles for “ornaments” or used a die to cut ”mittens”. These made fun embellishments for the fronts.  I filled the insides with goodies for a Christmas Survival Kit.

For the tins with no writing on the cardstock, I stamped “fa-la-la-la” just for fun! Altogether, I made 10 of these “photo” tins. I made these tins for all the receptionists and office staff.

These round tins were “treasures” from a local dollar store. I made one for each of my “bosses”. I used the Merry Wishes paper for the inserts and the letter stickers on the outside of the windows to customize each tin. The buttons were added using my ATG adhesive gun.

“C” is for Cheryl. She is my supervisor and great friend! She has been such a blessing to me!

“S” is for Shelly. Shelly is our practice manager and another wonderful lady.

“A” is for Amy. Amy is our office manager and really takes care of everybody. She will probably have to fight off her two little girls when she gets her tin home.
