The Last of the Card Ministry…

May 24th, 2010 by Tracy

I have been doing our church’s Card Ministry for over 4 years now, and it has been a great experience. However, for the past few months I have really felt the need to pass this ministry on. It has gotten to be overwhelming making 20-30 cards a month on top of all my other committments, but especially with my school schedule.

My daughter Sarah graciously took over for me so that I could finish out the Spring Semester. I did manage to make a few more cards before she took it over completely, so I thought I’d share these last Card Ministry creations with you.

The first two are typical of my Card Ministry style. Very simple, and very quick. I actually used scraps of ribbon, already cut pattern paper, and even stamped panels I had in my stash to make these.

Seriously, the only thing I had to do for this card was cut the blue mat.

The next two cards are much more complicated than I usually make for the Card Ministry, but I had the bears already stamped & colored with my Copic Markers from an earlier project, so I couldn’t resist. Heck, they were even cut-out already! The folded over ovals on the top of this card are the remainders from die cutting “MOM” for my Mother’s Day cards. OOPS! I quess I should post those…

This last one is just a quick variation. I swiped my Cognac Palettle Ink Pad across the card front & on the pink mat. Oh, did I mention that I used Pop-Dots to make the bears, um POP! That’s one thing I couldn’t do much of with the Card Ministry; have thick embellishments due to the extra postage required.
