Welcome Home Card - 3 Designs
My friend at work Pat asked me to make a card for her son and daughter-in-law to celebrate their buying their first house. I was thrilled because I wanted to play with the new Welcome Home stamp set. I decided to really play, and made three different card & envelope sets so Pat could choose the one she thought was most like her kids.
Here’s the first card. It is pretty simple and quick. I used my Lyra Watercolor Crayons & Niji Waterbrush to color the image. Other supplies include Pink Bazzill cardstock; Genevieve Collection cardstock; White Ultrasmooth cardstock; Noir Black and Water Lily Green Palette inks; and the Mega & Giga Scalloped Square Clever Lever Punches.
The second card is my personal favorite. I like the studio card design and the row of houses. The supplies for this card include: the Love & Laughter stamp set; White Ultrasmooth cardstock; Hip Hop Collection cardstock; Ocean 1 Match Makers cardstock; Lyra Watercolor Crayons; Niji Watercolor Brush; Prussian Blue, Giverny Green, and Violete Palette inks; eyelets from the Lilly Anna Hardware collection; and the Crop-a-Dile.
And the winner is… #3! This is the card Pat picked for her kids. (It’s also the one that my family members all like best.) The supplies for the winning card include the Swirlies stamp set; Orange Bazzill Cardstock; Ultrasmooth Ivory Cardstock; Amelia Collection Cardstock; Jumbo Java VersaMagic and Pumpkin Spice VersaMagic Chalk Inks; and Orange Sheer Ribbon.
Here’s a close up of the winner. Pat later told me that her daughter-in-law liked this card so much that she matted and framed it, and hung up in her new home. WOW! What an honor!
