Mimi Farewell Card

August 6th, 2008 by Tracy

It’s taken me awhile to get this posted, but this is a card I made for one of the girls at work who moved out of state this past spring.

The sentiment on the front of the card is from the T-1102 Take Pride stamp set and stamped in TT-220 Noir Black Palette Ink. The pattern cardstock is from the V-837 Mimi Collection. I also used V-290 Premium White Cardstock, and V-100 Green Matchmakers Cardstock.

 Mimi Farewel Card and Envelope

The envelope is stamped in TT-194 Claret Palette and TT-210 Chartreuse Palette Inks using T-2744 Floral Dingbats.

Here’s a close-up of the front. The “raspberry” layer is actually striped cardstock from the Mimi Collection.

There are a lot of people who wanted to sign Chelsea’s card and be able to write a word of encouragement as she embarked on a new phase in her life, so I had to come up with a way to make lots of space to write on.

I cut 2 peices of Premium White Cardstock at 8 1/4″ x 5 1/4″, then scored each like a regular card. I stamped the corners in Claret Palette ink using the Floral Dingbats, then adhered one “inner card” to the inside front cover, and one to the inside back cover. This tripled the writing area and made for a fun card!

A close-up of the “inner cards”.

I really like the clean look of this card, and the way it came out with the multiple pages. You can be sure I’ll be using this basic design next time a need another card for group signing!
