Mother’s Day Cards

May 5th, 2008 by Tracy

I’ve been having a lot of fun with the Mimi Cardstock Collecction, so it was only natural to use it for making Mother’s Day cards.

Mother\'s Day Card 1

I love the layered look  of this first card! I stamped the background image in Claret Palette ink, and then stamped just the “tips” of the corners of the white panel. After stamping the text, it was just a matter of layering everything to the card front!

Mother\'s Day Card 2

I used Claret Palette ink to create a subtle background on the second card front and then layered the panels. I attached the Mimi tag with brads for a nice detail.

Mother\'s Day Cards & Envelopes

Here’s a shot of both cards with their coordinating envelopes. I did each envelope the same; stamping all over the flap with a little embellishing on the front corner.

Mother\'s Day Cards - Insides

This photo shows the inside of both cards. I cut a 5 1/4″ x 4″ Premium White cardstock panel and stamped the corner to match the envelope front. I then adhered a stamped panel to the inside of each of the cards. The panel makes a nice clean area to write in, while also adding a litte style.
