Sophia Bind It All Mini Album

September 8th, 2008 by Tracy

It’s baby fever at work, and I’ve been busy making albums! This first one is for our office manager Amy, who is having baby Sophia.

I used six 4″ square coasters and my Bind It All to make the album. I covered each side of the coasters with solid color Match Makers cardstock or pattern cardstock from the retired Mulberry Meadow collection. I then sponged a coordinating Palette ink around all the edges.

This shows the cover. I used a white Bitty Blossom, a paper flower & pink button from the Audrey Embellishment Jar and sewed them together with Tan Scrapper’s Floss that I dragged across a Raw Sienna Palette ink pad. I Stamped SOPHIA in the retired Mini Alphabet stamp set.

This is the inside of the front cover. I left lots of room for photos & journaling. The sentiment is from the Love & Laughter stamp set.

The next layout uses more cardstock from the Meadow Mulberry collection. The stamps are from the retired Style Baby stamp set.

The next layout features images from the Petal Pack stamp set. I love how perfectly the flower images coordinate with the flower pattern in the Mulberry Meadow cardstock.

This next layout leaves more room for photos and journaling.  I had fun layering the tags on the right. The sentiment is from the Tag Tidbits stamp set.

Last layout. I stamped another fun image from the Style Baby stamp set. The tag is attached with a colored staple.

Here’s the view of the back cover. It’s a little “shabby chic”! The stamp is a GWP from the Fall/Winter 2008 TAC Inspiration Book.

Another view showing both covers. I really like the way this turned out, and Amy liked it too!

Starbucks Birthday Card Set

August 28th, 2008 by Tracy

My friend (and boss) Cheryl celebrated her birthday today, and because she is a Starbucks fan, I just had to make her birthday goodies Starbuck themed! I had a little help from the wonderful people from our local Chubbuck, ID Starbucks. Fausto (& his wife Jen) provided me with the Starbucks sleeves; Dani provided me with tons of help picking out goodies for Cheryl’s birthday including Starbucks themed tissue paper, Starbuck’s logo stickers, and a vintage Starbucks anniversary poster; and Laurie who gave Cheryl an HUMONGUS Starbucks Latte fixture.

This is a photo of the card front and the coordinating envelope. I stamped the coffee cup on the front and coffee beans all over the envelope flap in Jumbo Java VersaMagic Chalk ink.

Here’s a close up of the card front. I Layered Reece patterned cardstock onto dark brown Bazzil cardstock, then onto medium brown Bazzill cardstock. I cut a Starbucks coffee sleeve in half and sponged Jumbo Java VersaMagic chalk ink around the edges. I then stamped the coffee cups and coffee beans onto the front of the sleeve and attached it to the card front.

Here’s the inside of the card. I made it with double liners, so that EVERYONE at the clinic could sign it. (I circulated the card without the front so that Cheryl wouldn’t accidently see it, since the Starbucks would be a dead give away.) You can see how I stamped the corners with more images from “The Morning Buzz” stamp set.

This is the front of the Starbucks gift card in its gift envelope. I stamped the coffee cup and “The Morning Buzz” in Jumbo Java ink. (The flourish in the lower right hand corner was already printed on the envelope.)

Here’s another view of the card front that shows the Starbucks mini album in the background. You can see the album in-progress, with the unfinished tags sticking out of the “pockets”.

I saw an example of a Starbucks mini album made with the Bind-It-All on the internet over a year ago, but I have never been able to find it again since. I would love to credit the person who originally came up with the idea, as I just love it!

This is the only other photo of the Starbucks mini album I was able to take. I didn’t get a chance to take any photos before I took the album in to work, and my camera batteries died right after I took this. At least is shows an example of one of the stamped tags. As soon as I convince Cheryl to let me “borrow” the album back, I will take more photos and upload a complete tutorial on making the Starbucks album.

Supplies:

The Morning Buzz stamp set (Level B Hostess Set - email me for info on how you can earn this stamp set free!); More Abundance stamp set; Abundance stamp set (retired); Reece Collection Cardstock; Willoughby Collection Cardstock; Bazzill Browns Cardstock; Ultrasmooth Ivory Cardstock; Jumbo Java VersaMagic Chalk Ink; Bind It All Machine; 1 1/4″ Brown Bind It All “O” Wire; Hydra Sponge; 1/8″ Wonder Tape

Hip Hop Fun

August 25th, 2008 by Tracy

I’ve been wanting to pair our TAC Hip Hop Collection cardstock and Spring Dream stamp set for a long time, and these three cards are the result.

I actually entered the cards in the TAC monthly “Terrific Trio” contests, but alas they didn’t win.

I had a lot of fun using my Coluzzle in making these cards. I used parts of the same circle in different areas of the card. I have to say I am in love with the Coluzzle!

On this card I used the “inside” and the “outside” of the same circle just for fun.

No Coluzzle this time, but I did use some of the cardstock washers that come in the Hip Hop Collection. I also used my Clever Lever Circle punches.

 Supplies:

Spring Dream stamp set; Tag Tidbits stamp set; Hip Hop Fly With It Collection Cardstock; Ultrasmooth Wihite Cardstock; Yellow #1 MatchMakers Cardstock; Ocean #2 MatchMakers Cardstock; Plum #1 MatchMakers Cardstock; Green #3 MatchMakers Cardstock; Charteuse Palette Ink; Raw Sienna Palette Ink; Prussian Blue Palette Ink; Violete Palette Ink; Tropical Mini Brads; Tombow Markers; Coluzzle Large Circle Template; Extra Jumbo Circle Clever Lever Punch; Super Jumbo Circle Clever Lever Punch; Mega Circle Clever Lever Punch
