Starbucks Mini Album Photos & Directions

December 22nd, 2008 by Tracy

A very nice lady named Judy reminded me that I had not posted the photos & directions of my Starbucks’ Mini Bind-it-All album yet. If you would like to see the original post, click here.

I used 6 Starbucks “sleeves” to create my album. With the thickness of the cardboard, this makes a nice size album.  The first step is to line your sleeves up the way you want them in your album. I put mine together so that each pair had the Starbucks logo on the outside. I then centered each sleeve in the same spot on my Bind-It-All and punched my holes. Next, I opened all the sleeves; since the glue tends to be in the middle, and I wanted more room for my tags. I measured some 1/8″ Wonder Tape, and place it along the very bottom edge inside each sleeve. I burnished the tape real well, then used my Retracable Craft Knife to lift the red liner from the tape. I again burnished along the tape line real well to seal the sleeves.  Using a sponge, I applied Jumbo Java VersaMagic Chalk ink to all the edges of the sleeves. I then stamped images from the TAC Hostess set “The Morning Buzz” on the sleeves as shown. I used 1 1/4″ Brown O Wires to bind the sleeves together.

The tags are all from the TAC Reece & Willoughby cardstock collections. I just matched the coordinating shaped tag from each collection to create  two-sided tags. All stamping was done using the Jumbo Java ink. Text on the tags are from the TAC set “More Abundance” and the retired TAC “Abundance”.  I used a variety of ribbon, staples, and Antique Copper Hardware to embellish the tags. You could also put gift cards in the pockets.

I stamped the front tag so that “abundance” shows while the tag is still in the pocket.

Front of the “Abundance” tag. I sponged Jumbo Java ink along all the edges of the tags, which not only enhances the look, but also covers up any places where the two tags don’t line up perfectly.

Back side of the “Abundance” tag.

This shows the first pair of sleeves opened up. You could embellish even more, but I was trying to keep it simple.

Next set of tags. I just love the way the text fits into the circle!

Back side, and a completely different look.

Again, the sleeves are pretty plain here, but what more do you really need when you’ve got the Starbucks logo that says it all?!

A different stamping layout on the next pair of sleeves.

Sometimes the lines and the text lined up perfectly, but I found that I liked the funky look even when they didn’t.

Back side of the tag and a different orientation. Keeps ‘em guessing!

starbuckscb11

I love this tag and how the text lines up perfectly with the lines. It was actually easy on this one because of the spacing on the stamp and using an acrylic mount.

Again, the back side is a different orientation.

 The final pair of sleeves.

starbuckscb14

I am really pleased with the way this tag turned out! Each line of text is a different stamp.

starbuckscb15

 Back side, simply beautiful!

The final tag embellished with Antique Copper grommet.

A close up of the final sentiment.

The last tag shown with the last pair of sleeves.

A view of the front & back covers of the album. I used the “Designed With Love” Gift With Purchase stamp for my signature on the back.

One last shot of the album. I have since made 3 more albums, but alas no photos. I stamped the very Starbucks-looking cup of coffee on either side of the logo on the front cover. I also use a lot more Reece & Willoughby ribbon, which I am very pleased with. Really, I just NEED to make more of these!!!

I hope you enjoyed the tour.
