New Studio…
Okay, we finally moved last weekend. Yep, AFTER the semester started. Oh well, love the new place and can’t wait to get everything unpacked and settled in. It’ll probably be awhile though since it took four days to move.
In the meantime, I thought I’d share the process of setting up my new studio…

We’re going in! LOL! Today my daughter Sarah & her husband Geofrey are here to help with the “unloading” of the studio, so the arranging can begin.
Our first goal when we moved was to just get everything into the new house, then organize/arrange later. We loaded all of the big furniture in the room first, so that I could see exactly how things would fit. Next; just get as much as possible in the room for the time being.
The above photo is is from about two feet into the room, because that’s as far as I can get with all the stuff piled in. (I had to zoom in with the camera a lot.) And no, that’s not everything that needs to live in my studio. There’s more scattered in the rest of the house…

By the way, notice the lovely olive-brown curtains. They are definitely OUTTA HERE!

Plenty of storage, once I can get to it!

Paper sorters are all in place. Don’t they look “lonely” without all the beautiful color papers?!
Organizational Tip #1: Lose the closet doors! I am a BIG fan of closed storage, but to maximize my useable space and to show off my awesome TAC papers, the closet doors just had to go. You might wonder, exactly where did they go? Well, they fit just perfectly under our bed.

This is SOOOO embarassing! But, considering all the people who helped us move I’m just happy the majority of my studio actually made it into the room!
Stay tuned has we progress to a beautiful New Studio…
